COVID-19 Statement

Hawthorn Lane

Date: 20/03/20

Latest advice from the government is "if children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. The government has asked parents/carers to keep their children at home wherever possible".

Following the most recent government advice, we have made assessments of who attends, on a case by case basis, for these pupils their parents and carers have already been notified that from Monday, Woodfield will be able to offer a reduced provision. This has been very carefully thought out and is taking into account staff absences and on health and safety grounds and safeguarding. We are aware that we need to do all we can to prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus.

For pupils who will still be at home, staff will continue to contact them. Woodfield have produced personal learning packs for students, which includes online learning resources.

Staff will also be putting a programme of food and vouchers together to be made available for pupils who are in receipt of free school meals. Staff are also available to support parents on the phone during school times. The staff will be working on a rota basis to ensure health and safety of the attending pupils is first and foremost.

Thank you for your ongoing support through this uncertain time. We will continue to keep you up dated accordingly.
